About

I am so glad we found each other!

I’m Keri, owner,CEO, and overall overworked lackey of Yadda Yadda Paleo.  I love to write, pass on information I find helpful and the term Yadda Yadda Paleo came from the reaction I'd get from family and friends when I first started my Paleo journey. I would passionately describe my reasons for doing so and their eyes would glaze over, giving me the general impression they were thinking, "yadda yadda yadda". I chopped off a yadda and the blog was born. My goal here is to provide busy families with recipes, lifestyle and wellness information, and tips and tricks to help you live a happier, healthier life!

Allow me to introduce myself...

Why do I suddenly feel like I'm on a dating show?  Anyway, I am a wife, mother of 5, I love preparing and eating real food, passionate about helping families educate themselves on health and wellness topics so they can make informed choices about their overall health. By day, I am a software quality assurance analyst; by night and weekend, I transform into a teacher of all things related to health, wellness....and bacon.

Okay, so what else?

Taking a cue from Katie, below are some fun facts about moi:
  • I met my husband during a retreat.  We were fast friends and married in May of 2006.
  • We have five kids (I have three from previous marriage(s), and he has two from his first) ranging in age from 15 - 21.  Life is  pretty crazy at this point, but its a good crazy.
  • I am a loyal Kansas City Royals fan. I love them even though they haven't seen a Series since I was 12.
  • I started this journey to wellness in April 2013 after being diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I was sure there was a nutritional answer to my digestive problems and I set out to find them.
  • I am the mother of a child with both Aspergers and Epilepsy.  He is another reason I wanted so badly to move to a real food and balanced approach towards his care.  As of November of 2013, he is seizure free :)
  • I am a moderator for the forums on The 21-Day Sugar Detox.  I am somewhat of a stalker of Diane Sanfilippo (also of Balanced Bites) once she saw that, I was hired.
  • I love to read - and you will find me doing just that most free weekends.
  • The only food I absolutely will not eat is...radishes. My parents forced me to eat them as a kid and I dislike everything about them.
  • I had a brief stent in the military just after high school. The lessons I learned there stuck with me.
Now that you know more about me, I love to hear from you! You can find me on Facebook, this blog of course, Twitter and eventually Pinterest.
